What your child joins
Captain Chess is not a tuition centre with a chess board. It is a structured thinking programme — and the environment your child enters reflects that.
→
Structured learning, not casual classes
Every child is assessed and placed in the right level group. Progress moves through a defined pathway — so your child is always learning, never stuck repeating the same session.

Coaches trained to build thinking
Our coaches don’t just correct wrong moves. They guide children to understand why a decision was wrong, and how to think better next time. Independent thinking is the goal — not dependence on a coach’s advice.

A responsible path to competitive chess
For children who want tournaments, we provide structured preparation. For children who don’t, the thinking skills built here serve them far beyond the chessboard.

Who you’re trusting your child with
Captain Chess is founded and led by Biswajit Bharadwaj — a FIDE Instructor, International Rated Chess Player, and one of the youngest Senior National Arbiters in India. He is also the first international chess arbiter from Assam and Northeast India.
Biswajit has represented India in multiple international championships, coached Indian and Assam teams at national and international events, and played a key role in introducing chess into the school curriculum of Assam.
Captain Chess is also the evolved identity of Assam Chess Club — a name many parents in Guwahati have trusted for years. The values, the coaches, and the commitment to your child remain exactly as they were.
Chess is not only about winning games. It is about learning how to think clearly, stay calm under pressure, and grow as a responsible sportsperson.
